A Legacy of Abiding
Focus Verse: John 15:8 – “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”
Reflection: John’s life of abiding left a lasting legacy. He survived trials like boiling oil and exile on Patmos (Revelation 1:9), mentored future leaders, and wrote words that still guide the Church. His faithfulness shows that abiding in Christ sustains us through challenges and creates a legacy that glorifies God. By loving others as Jesus loved, John’s life reflected Christ’s command (John 13:34–35).
Application: What legacy do you want to leave for Christ? Commit to one act of love or faithfulness today, trusting God to use it for His glory.
Prayer: Lord, help me abide in You through every trial, leaving a legacy of love and faithfulness that points others to You. Amen.
