Christ-Centered Scripture
John 2:3-4, – “When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.’… and manifested his glory.”
Jesus’ hour awaits the cross and His second coming as the ruling Messiah, but He acts in grace and turns the water into wine. The water in the jars like God’s Word in our hearts becomes wine when Christ is understood in Scripture.
Moses turned water into blood bringing judgment. Jesus turned water into wine bringing joy and grace.
Approach the Bible as a Christ-centered testament of new life. Even the wind speaks of who He is and what He would accomplish in shedding His blood for our sine. Like the water life is tasteless without Him.
