Courage to Stay Faithful under Pressure (Daniel)
Text: Daniel 6:10 “When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.”
Reflection: Daniel faced a decree forbidding prayer to anyone but the king, yet he prayed to God openly, knowing it could mean death in the lions’ den. His consistent faith showed unwavering devotion.
Application: Courage means daily obedience to God, even when it costs you socially, professionally, or personally. Stay faithful in small acts of devotion, like prayer or integrity, under pressure.
Reflection Question: What pressures tempt you to compromise your faith, and how can you remain steadfast?
Prayer: Lord, give me Daniel’s resolve to stay faithful to You, no matter the cost. Strengthen my daily commitment to Your truth. Amen.
Key Verse: “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much,” (Luke 16:10).
