Inviting Jesus into Everyday Moments
John 2:1-2 “On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.”
In the activity of a village wedding, Jesus and His disciples are invited guests among family and friends. This ordinary celebration, lasting up to seven days, highlights how Jesus enters human life, joy and celebration. A near mishap occurred when they ran out of wine.
Like the couple, Mary, disciples, the headwaiter, and servants, we have vital roles in life’s events even though they seem unimportant. God uses everyday settings and people to reveal His glory. Mary turns to Jesus when wine runs out, trusting His wisdom.
Jesus turns a wedding day tragedy into a triumph! Invite Jesus into your daily “weddings”—celebrations, shortages, or crises. Bring problems to Him first, obey His word like the servants, and watch Him transform embarrassment into testimony.
