Resting in Jehovah’s Self-Sufficiency
Reflection: Jehovah needs nothing, yet He invites us to serve in His church. Our work (whether in the nursery, youth ministry, or worship) is a privilege, not a necessity for God. This frees us from pressure and reminds us that our efforts are part of His perfect plan, backed by His self-sufficient nature. Scripture: “The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.” (Acts 17:24-25) Prayer: Lord, You are complete and lack nothing. Thank You for inviting me to serve in Your work. Help me serve humbly, knowing my efforts are a privilege to join Your eternal purposes. Amen.
